Grant Criteria

The Trust's mission is to improve the quality of life in the Greater Rochester Area. Its funding interests are the agencies and institutions that are part of the Rochester Jewish Community and other non-profit organizations benefiting children, physically and mentally challenged individuals, healthcare, and the arts.

Historically, the smallest grant has been $250, and the largest grant has been a multi-year commitment of $300,000 paid over a period of seven years. Well over $10 million have been awarded in in grants since 1997. Grants are made for capital needs, technology and equipment needs, pilot projects, and innovative programs. Support is usually not provided to individuals for endowments, land acquisition, or ordinary operating expenses. Typically, there is no renewable funding. Grants may be payable in a single year or over a period of years.

The trust accepts grant applications from tax-exempt not-for-profit organizations only in January and February of each year. To apply, please complete and submit one of the following applications in PDF format to amesamzalak@gmail.com
